Six Creative Ways To Acquire New Clients

To propel growth, businesses have to determine the best way to continually acquire more and more new customers. Breaking out of ingrained customer acquisition strategies can be difficult for business leaders when these strategies have previously led to success.

However, businesses have to also think outside the box as customer needs change over time and industries adopt new innovations. To help leaders move in a new direction, a panel of Forbes Business Council members share creative ideas businesses can use to acquire new clients.

1. Listen In On Customer Calls

As a leader, go spend time with your customer-facing people. When was the last time you sat in the call center and listened to customer calls? Spend a week there this quarter just listening to what customers are talking about, seeing how the call center staff respond and taking notes. Focus on presenting high-quality content that serves as useful information for your ideal clients and highlights your company as experts. Make unexpected partnerships to broach previously unreachable client sectors. 6. Be Prepared To Say ‘No’

Many salespeople will not like this answer, but say “no” to business when a client has unrealistic expectations or is focused on price. Turning down business professionally often turns into great business in the future. When a client has unrealistic expectations, they will soon realize that their current vendors will fail.
