A very happy new year to you and those in your businesses! I hope you’ve enjoyed the festive period and feel refreshed to embrace the challenges and fresh opportunities of 2022 together. We ended last year on a high, celebrating the 8th year of receiving your vote for ‘General Insurer of the Year’ at the Insurance Times awards, as well as ‘Commercial Lines Insurer of the Year’ too. Whilst we’re delighted to have been recognised for those awards by you, we’re also determined to do whatever it takes to meet, and even exceed, the standards you expect of us this year.
On top of this, we announced the 40 broker supported projects that successfully secured a share of our £300,000 Broker Community Fund prize pot. We’re proud of that, and glad that we can continue to invest in you and the things that are important to you in your communities. Building brighter futures for our communities takes commitment, and remains an important part of what we do together.
I also wanted to say thank you to those of you who shared with us your feedback in our most recent sentiment survey, your open and honest feedback is essential in helping us to understand what we’re doing well, and more importantly, where we can be doing more to support you.
On the whole, I was pleased with the results as your trust in us continues to stay strong, along with your belief that we are committed to the broker market. But we know there’s work to be done, some of the things you’ve shared with us can’t be fixed overnight but the one thing I want to assure you of is that we’ve heard you loud and clear. So in 2022, we’ll be prioritising investment in what really matters most to your business. Whether that’s more people, better technology, using data more intelligently or increasing underwriting capacity.
