Google is again testing the display of popular queries on the mobile Google Search page. Before the user enters his request, he sees a block with trending user requests.

Experiment noticed and shared screenshot on Twitter Tommy Haymas:

Hymas complained about this block and tried to turn off trending searches, but it didn’t help him.

Then Danny Sullivan from google reminded him that users can opt-out of these popular searches in the settings… To use the Google Search App, go to Google Now, click the menu (the three-bar icon) and select Settings. In the settings, select “Autocomplete”, where you need to disable the item “Show popular search queries”.

Recall that this is not the first such experiment. Formerly Google tested demonstration of popular topics in search suggestions, and automatic suggestion trending news in mobile search results.
