Google My Business now has the ability to hide company phone numbers. Hidden numbers will not show up on Google Maps and in Google local search results. The feature is intended for companies that do not want to be called.

In the renewed background document Google has instructions on how to “hide your phone number from your company profile.”

To do this, you need to log into your Google My Business account and select the item “Edit profile” – “Additional business profile settings” – “Advanced settings” in the required business profile.

In the “Phone number” section, you need to click to activate the “Do not show” item.

Recall in April Google banned specify phone numbers in Google Posts. And in May on Google My Business appeared data in the section “Call history”. The report now displays information about answered and missed calls, as well as information about the caller: name and phone number.
