Google is testing a button for spoken results in desktop search results. The experiment was noticed and shared by a foreign SEO specialist with a screenshot:
The “Hear this out loud” button is displayed so far only in selected descriptions.
A similar technology is already being used in Google ChromeBooks and other products.
It is also possible that showing the new button is not related to search, but is one of the features of Chrome.
The speakable markup that allows Google Assistant to speak search results is not on this page.
As a reminder, this week we saw testing of popular queries on the home page in Google mobile search.
