Western experts noticed that Google began to show a new label in local search results «New on Google».

The new icon is displayed both in regular results and in the local search block, as well as in the search results in Maps.


The label is assigned to companies that have recently appeared on Google.

According to Joy Hawkins, a local search expert, this feature can be useful for identifying fake company pages, as well as for tracking new competitors.
