Google started showing the audience size when uploading address lists to your account. Information about the update to the Customer Match functionality appeared in Google Ads Help Center.
When uploading email addresses to your account, you can now see the percentage of the audience from the list to which you can launch ads right now. Previously, you had to wait to see the match rate — how much of the list could be consumed in Customer Match.

Google Ads will also show the match rate for listings uploaded since January 1, 2020, so you can track trends on that data.
To increase the compliance rateGoogle recommends adding as much customer information as possible. According to the company’s internal data, advertisers who downloaded two types of customer information increased the average list size by 28%, while those who downloaded three types increased by 35%.
You can also improve the match rate by fixing formatting issues and working with third-party e-list download services.
Important: match rate is not a measure of the effectiveness of the lists.
Reaching more audiences will help you keep your customer lists updated regularly. So Google started showing an advice to update the listings on the recommendation page.
