Oakland-born and Bay Area legend Marshawn Lynch was driving a car with one missing tire and one flat early Tuesday morning when he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in Las Vegas.

TMZ shared photos on Tuesday afternoon of the busted Mustang that Lynch was allegedly driving when he was stopped near the Strip at 7:25 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Las Vegas police said in a statement he was pulled over “for suspected driver impairment.” Officers determined he was impaired, arrested him and booked him at the Las Vegas City Jail with a DUI.

Lynch, 36, was born in Oakland and attended Oakland Technical High School where he earned the nickname Beast Mode while playing football for the Bulldogs, according to Oakland Tech’s website. After three standout years at UC Berkeley, Lynch was drafted No. 12 overall by the Bills in 2007, but his most decorated NFL years came in Seattle, where he won a Super Bowl and made one of the most famous plays in NFL history, the “Beast Quake.” After a brief retirement in 2016, Lynch returned to his native Oakland for two seasons with the Raiders before finishing his career with the Seahawks in 2019.

Lynch was arrested for a DUI while driving in Oakland in 2012 when police determined his blood alcohol level was above the .08 limit. He eventually pleaded guilty to reckless driving in that case.
