Automobile companies have released vehicle sales figures in April 2021. All companies have gained 100% in April compared to the previous year. In fact, due to the lockdown in April 2020, not a single car was sold in the country. However, the sales for the previous month have been down compared to March 2021. The main reason for this was the second wave of Kovid-19.
In April 2021, a total of 2,86,450 cars were sold. Whereas in March 2021, 3,20,547 cars were sold. That is, 34,097 cars were sold, down 10.64% on a month-on-month basis. Talking of companies, Maruti was the first and Hyundai in the second place in terms of selling cars.
Maruti lost 7% on a monthly basis.
During April 2021, the country’s largest company Maruti sold 1,35,879 cars. On a monthly basis, he incurred a loss of 7.06%. In March 2021 it had sold 146,203 cars. The company has a market share of 47.44%.
Hyundai lost 6% on a monthly basis
During April 2021, Hyundai sold 49,002 cars. On a monthly basis, he incurred a loss of 6.84%. In March 2021 it had sold 52,600 cars. The company had a market share of 17.11%.
15% loss to Tata on monthly basis
During April 2021, Tat sold 25,095 cars. He has lost 15.37% on a monthly basis. In March 2021, it had sold 29,654 cars. The company has a market share of 8.76%.
Mahindra gains 9% on a monthly basis
During April 2021, Mahindra sold 18,285 cars. It has gained 9.49% on a monthly basis. In March 2021 it had sold 16,700 cars. The company has a market share of 6.38%.
15% loss to Kia on a monthly basis

Toyota lost 35% on a monthly basis

Honda gains 27% on monthly basis

Reno lost 30% on a monthly basis
Reno sold 8,642 cars during April 2021. He has lost 30.06% on a monthly basis. In March 2021 it had sold 12,356 cars. The company had a market share of 3.02%.
Ford lost 29% on a monthly basis.
During April 2021, Ford sold 5,469 cars. He has lost 29.40% on a monthly basis. In March 2021, it had sold 7,7746 cars. The company had a market share of 1.19%.
Nissan lost 16% on monthly basis
During April 2021, Nissan sold 3,369 cars. He has lost 16.30% on a monthly basis. In March 2021 it had sold 4,012 cars. The company has a market share of 1.18%.
MG lost 53% on a monthly basis.
During April 2021, MG sold 2,565 cars. He has lost 53.60% on a monthly basis. In March 2021 it had sold 5,528 cars. The company has a market share of 0.90%.
Bajaj sold 1,34,471 vehicles
Bajaj Auto sold 1,34,471 units of two-wheeler and commercial vehicles in the domestic market during April 2021. The company said in a BSE filing that Bajaj Auto’s total vehicle sales in April stood at 3,88,016 units, compared to 37,878 units in April last year.
Suzuki sold 77,849 units
Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited sold 77,849 units in April 2021. The company sold 63,879 units in domestic markets. At the same time, 13,970 units were exported. The company registered a growth of 18% as compared to April 2019.
