Abe Hong is joining Learning Care Group: and CEO of technology, with effect from Aug. 2, 2021, and is announced by Learning Care Group, Inc. today. LearningCare Group, which operates approximately 1,000 schools in 38 states, the District of Columbia, and worldwide, is North America’s second-largest early childcare education provider.
As part of its role in leadership among childcare providers by providing educational excellence and superb customer service, Hong will lead all aspects of Learning Care Group Technology Strategy and IT Function and Functions, overseeing technology infrastructure, business applications, technology integration, and digital initiatives. He reports to Mark Bierley, CEO of the Learning Care Group.
“Abe has extensive knowledge as a leader that drives teams in achieving technological transformation efforts and new solutions that enhance customer experience,” said Bierley. “His unique viewpoint, excellent technical capabilities and vast digital technology experience will serve as key assets to LCG as we harness innovation to engage its employees, enhance learning for children and make it easier for busy families to communicate with each other.”
Hong has more than 20 years of experience in IT corporate leadership in public enterprises and in consulting. Hong was Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Operating Officer for the worldwide technology services provider Technologent before joining Learning Care Group. It oversees corporate digital growth, fusions and acquiries, corporate technology, product management, and operational functions for back-office and customers. He formerly served as Discount Tire’s Chief Information Officer, a leading manager for transforming client experience and maximizing efficiency through artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Before that, Hong served at Red Rock resorts, Starbucks, and Andersen Consulting in several strategically responsible leadership roles. Hong received an Engineering Bachelor from the American Military Academy in West Point.
